Scope

Anvil, LLC ("Anvil," "we," "us," or "our") is a web design and engineering studio in Laurel, Mississippi. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit madebyanvil.com, submit a project inquiry, or communicate with us about our business.

This policy covers Anvil's website and business communications. It does not cover client websites shown in our portfolio or other sites we link to. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

Information we collect

Information you provide

When you use our project inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, and project message. You may also provide your organization, location, timeline, budget range, and how you heard about us. We collect the information you include when you email us or otherwise communicate with us.

Analytics and technical information

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the site. Its default implementation collects session statistics, approximate location, browser information, and device information. Google Analytics uses a first-party cookie, such as _ga, to distinguish browsers and sessions.

We also record interactions such as visits to case studies, clicks on contact buttons, email links and outbound links, and whether someone starts, attempts, completes, or encounters an error with the inquiry form. These events may include the page path, link text, destination URL, or project slug. We do not send the contents of your inquiry form to Google Analytics.

Our hosting provider may process standard request and diagnostic information needed to deliver, secure, and troubleshoot the site.

How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • read, evaluate, and respond to project inquiries and other messages;
  • prepare estimates and discuss possible work;
  • operate, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot the site;
  • understand which pages and projects are useful to visitors;
  • improve the site's content, navigation, and performance; and
  • comply with law and protect our rights, safety, and property.

We do not use the site for interest-based advertising or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

How we share information

We may share information with:

  • Resend, which delivers project inquiry emails to us. You can read Resend's privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics, which processes site usage and interaction data. You can read Google's privacy policy.
  • Vercel, which hosts the site and its inquiry endpoint. You can read Vercel's privacy notice.
  • professional advisers when reasonably necessary for the services they provide;
  • authorities or other parties when required by law or needed to protect rights and safety; and
  • a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of the business.

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Your choices and privacy rights

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to prevent your activity from being available to Google Analytics.

Depending on where you live and whether the applicable law applies to Anvil, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a copy of personal information we hold about you. You may also have the right to appeal a decision about a request. Email hello@madebyanvil.com to make a request. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity and understand the request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

Retention

We keep inquiry and correspondence records for as long as reasonably needed to evaluate work, maintain a business relationship, keep appropriate business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Google Analytics retains analytics information according to the settings in our Analytics property and Google's applicable policies. When information is no longer needed, we may delete it or de-identify it.

Security and international transfers

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Anvil is based in the United States. Our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and organizations and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can address it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our site or practices change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes may also be announced elsewhere on the site.
